SEAEXPLORER Underwater Gliders
The SEAEXPLORER line of UUVs (unmanned underwater vehicles) offers powerful autonomous sensing and data collection capabilities, with extended endurances of up to eight weeks. Utilizing variable-buoyancy propulsion with large ballasting volumes, the vehicles move silently up and down the water column, and can be equipped with a wide range of payloads for missions such as oceanographic data collection, rapid environmental assessment, acoustic monitoring and anti-submarine warfare.
SEAEXPLORER gliders are highly cost-effective and feature low logistical footprints, requiring no support vessels during the mission and can be easily deployed from a research vessel.
SEAEXPLORER 1000
Versatile underwater glider for oceanographic data collection
The SEAEXPLORER 1000 is the newest generation of our underwater glider platform, featuring significant improvements in power efficiency and payload management, as well as reduction in acoustic noise.
With an endurance of up to 110 days and the ability to carry a total payload of 8 kg or up to six sensors across wet and dry bays, it is ideal for a variety of applications, including:
- Oceanography & Environmental Monitoring – collecting a variety of physical, chemical, and biological data with an array of sensors including CTD, dissolved oxygen, methane, fluorometry and more
- Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) – our advanced AURIS payload allows the SEAEXPLORER to monitor, detect and characterize underwater noise and marine life, as well as to identify potential security threats
- Rapid Environmental Assessment – by collecting data on phenomena such as bioluminescence, light penetration, sonar propagation, and water currents, the SEAEXPLORER can be used to support safe and effective naval operations
SEAEXPLORER 200
High-efficiency underwater glider for data collection in coastal waters
The SEAEXPLORER 200 has been specially designed for marine environment data collection at depths of 20 to 200 meters, and can be equipped with either a single- or dual-battery system to suit different endurance and range requirements.
The robust platform can be equipped with a variety of payloads, allowing it to undertake the same wide variety of civilian and defense missions as the SEAEXPLORER 1000.
SEAEXPLORER 1000-M
Stealth underwater glider for defense & security
The SEAEXPLORER 1000-M glider has been optimized for defense and security missions, with a range of enhanced features including acoustic stealth design, data cybersecurity, and interoperability with UAVs. Applications include:
- Acoustical intelligence (ACOUSTINT)
- Underwater ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance)
- Underwater & seabed warfare
- Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA)
- Search and recovery
Currently under development, the SEAEXPLORER 1000-M will be available by the end of 2025.
